Black Dragon Games is proud to be hosting the second Women+ Championship for Card Heroine Events!
This event aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming space for the Women+ Lorcana community with a day of fun and competitive Lorcana.
Core Constructed Tournament: bring along your best Core Constructed deck and compete for prizes!
Date: Saturday 28th February
Time: Registration opens at 9am
Our approach is to create spaces that are Women-Led and Women-Focused, while ensuring they are inclusive of those who identify as women, including trans women, non-binary, and gender-fluid people who feel aligned with a women-centred environment.
To reflect this, the event is titled Women+. This was developed in consultation with members of the LGBTQIA+ community to ensure the language reflects inclusivity while keeping women at the centre. Above all, the intention is that everyone who comes under Women+ feels safe, welcome, and able to fully participate.
This event will consist of 5-6 Swiss rounds followed by a top-8 cut:
9.00am: Registration Opens
Players arriving after 9.20am may miss the first round
9.30am: Round 1 starts
10.35am: Round 2 starts
11.40am: Round 3 starts
12.45pm: Lunch Break (60 minutes)
1.45pm: Round 4 starts
2.50pm: Round 5 starts
3.55pm: Round 6 starts
5.00pm: Break (30 minutes) & Top 8 Cut
5.30pm: Top 8 round starts
6.35pm: Top 4 round starts
7.40pm: Top 2 round starts
All rounds will be played best-of-3.
1st Place: Winterspell Booster Box + Angel or Stitch lego set
2nd Place: Winterspell Trove + Angel or Stitch lego set
1st place will get first choice of lego set, 2nd place will receive the leftover set
3rd-4th Place: 6 Winterspell booster packs + 2 Loungefly mystery pin boxes
5th-8th Place: 3 Winterspell booster packs + 1 Loungefly mystery pin boxes
All other participants: 1 Winterspell booster pack
All participants: 1 surprise promo card
You'll score 30 points for every match win and 10 points for every match draw. You'll be able to spend your points on exclusive Lorcana prizes including:
Premium tickets are also available. Each Premium ticket includes a goodie-box containing:
Standard ticket holders will also receive stickers, a promo card and a pin badge.
Players who identify as Women+ are invited to purchase a ticket and participate:
Premium Ticket: £35

Standard Ticket: £25
If you need to cancel your place then please let us know as soon as possible. Refunds for cancelled places will be available up until 6pm on 21st February, after which refunds will not be available.
Women+ Space:
During rounds this event will be run in a Women+ only space. Spectators are welcome in other areas of the store during rounds and are encouraged to book a table at Black Dragon Games if they wish to engage in other gaming activities throughout the day.
Deck Lists:
Players must bring a printed deck list. Deck list templates are available here.
Play Hub:
The tournament will be run on the Ravensburger Play Hub.
Please sign up for a Ravensburger Play Hub account before the event to speed up registration on the day.
Food:
Snacks and drinks are available in-store.
Players are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
There are plenty of local shops and cafes within walking distance.
By Car: We recommend parking in Burton Street Car Park (navigate to postcode LE13 1GH), which is a 2 minute walk from Black Dragon Games. All day parking: £5.40.
By Train: Black Dragon Games is a 3 minute walk from Melton Mowbray train station.
