Embergard is the new edition of Warhammer Underworlds, and we're putting together an event series to get everyone playing again!
The new edition plays very much like the previous edition, but it has been rewritten from the ground up to create a much smoother gaming experience. However, it requires new cards and resources, so our events are aimed at helping players get back into Underworlds with minimal cost and effort.
Check out what we've got planned...
Play a series of 3-game matches to determine the best Warhammer Underworlds player at Black Dragon Games!
The goal of the league is for novice and veteran players to have fun playing lots of Warhammer Underworlds - there will be prizes for the top two places in both the Upper Division and Lower Division, plus painting competition prizes at our end-of-league social.
Players will need 3 different warbands and rivals decks to join in - check out the League Pack for full details:
Click here for a printer-friendly version of the League Pack.
Sign-up Deadline:
Friday 14th February
Start Date:
Sunday 16th February
Expected duration: Approximately 20 weeks (10 weeks per round)
Entry fee: £30*
Your entry fee will cover 5 of your gaming tables for the league. Players will need to pay for additional gaming tables after their first 5 matches to complete the league.

The Warhammer 40,000 narrative continues...
Grow your narrative army and fight to control each region of Tarsak IV!
This campaign is Act IV of our Grand Narrative Campaign: The Scouring of Tarsak IV. Your victories in this campaign will determine who controls key regions on Tarsak IV.
You can read all about Tarsak IV and the events of Acts I, II and III here.
All players will complete four 1500 point games against 4 different players over 12 weeks. Your games will determine which faction takes control of each of Tarsak IV's battlefronts, while developing your Crusade Force as you go.
The entry fee for the campaign will cover 4 gaming sessions at Black Dragon Games for your campaign games.
You can continue to develop your existing Crusade Force or build a completely new one for this campaign (see the Campaign Pack for full details).
The campaign is all about having fun whilst telling the story of your Crusade Force. Players should focus on fun and relaxed gameplay. Games will not be played at a competitive level.
This is a great opportunity to get creative and focus on your favourite Warhammer 40,000 units, old or new! Bring a list of your favourite models, centre your army around a single leader or bring back models from Warhammer Legends...

A narrative campaign for Kill Team
Join us for a narrative Kill Team campaign where the result of each mission will determine your team's route to victory! The campaign will start by playing through the Hivestorm Airborne Assault Mission Pack, after which we'll move on to the Volkus Compound Mission Pack to see which team can secure vital assets in enemy territory. The results of this event day will provide a bonus to the winning side in our next Warhammer 40,000 narrative event day.
The entry fee for the campaign will cover 5 gaming sessions at Black Dragon Games for your campaign games.
The campaign will be played over 5 rounds, with 2 to 3 weeks to complete your game for each round. The gamemaster will pair players after each round based on the results of their missions. The missions in play are from narrative mission packs, which aim to provide a simpler, story-driven gaming experience.
This campaign is open to players of all levels looking for a casual and friendly gaming experience. Players will be divided into attacking and defending teams as we explore the story of an aerial invasion of one of Tarsak IV's key strategic assets.

Looking for people to play board games with?
Want to learn some new games?
Or do you just want to play more board games?
All of our games are run by either members of staff or community members, who are there to help new players learn to play.
Come and join us on Tuesday evenings from 7pm.
Light games: Looking for a bit more variety? These sessions will always start with a specific game (which will take 30-60 minutes), and then move on to some other light games for as long as you want to stay. Ideal for new players looking to learn some lighter games!
Low means that a game is quick and easy to learn - ideal if you're looking for something chilled out or accessible to younger players.
Medium games will take a little while to learn and will typically require significant planning throughout the game.
High complexity games will typically take much longer to learn and usually involve players planning several turns ahead while keeping track of a complex set of resources - recommended for experienced gamers.
