24 hour Charity Event

Join in with our 1st Annual Charity Event in support of Reverse Rett.

Members of our local gaming community will be coming in for a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise money for charity.

Starts: 10am on Sunday 24th March

Ends: 10am on Monday 25th March

Sign-up deadline: 25th February
Tables for general booking will be released after this date.

How can I support this?

There are lots of ways to support our charity drive:

1) Participate in the 24 hour gaming marathon and get sponsored.

2) Play games at Black Dragon Games at any time during the charity event - all table fees will be donated to Reverse Rett. You can reserve a table for yourselves or keep the participants company at any time throughout the entire 24 hour period!

3) Sponsor the participants:

Who are Reverse Rett?

Reverse Rett are a charity who are working to rid the world of Rett Syndrome, a neurological disorder that affects about 1 in 10,000 girls.

Rett Syndrome is a condition very close to the heart of the Black Dragon Games family. Jennifer, daughter to Richard & Liz and granddaughter to Linda, was diagnosed with the condition at a young age.

Black Dragon Games wish to support Reverse Rett’s efforts to work against this devastating and life-altering condition.

We'll be talking a lot more about Rett Syndrome in the run up to our charity event, and how it affects the people who live with it and their families.

I want to join in!

Great - please contact us and we'll get you signed up!

Blood on the Clocktower

In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff a demon walks amongst you, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon, or will evil overrun this once peaceful village?

Blood on the Clocktower is a captivating and addictive new social bluffing game for those who delight in deduction and deception. Fans of Werewolf should definitely give this game a go...

    In Blood on the Clocktower:
  • dead players are never eliminated
  • every player knows something that can impact the outcome
  • the Storyteller may give misinformation to players who are 'drunk' or 'poisoned'
  • the dynamic Storyteller role leads each game to a nail-biting outcome

No two games are ever the same and death is not the end…

We would like to thank our staff and community members who give their free time to running these campaigns.

Vaesen

New and veteran players are invited to join this series of short campaigns and one-shots in this Nordic Horror RPG set in 19th Century Scandinavia and Europe.

You always knew you were different. Since a traumatic childhood event you’ve been hearing and seeing things that no one else could see.

For years you thought you were alone, possibly mad and kept quiet, that is until the letter arrived. There were others like you, a Society, all of whom had ‘the sight’. You can see the hidden things that the rest of humanity cannot, the wood witches, the trolls, the church grims.

10 years ago the Society disappeared in one blood soaked, terrible night. Now its last surviving member reaches out to you to unravel the secrets of the Society’s abandoned castle, Gyllencreutz, and once again start the work to maintain the balance the world of the Vaesen with the world of man...

Investigators will have access to the library of Castle Gyllenceutz, which will provide a crucial archive of information on the Vaesen, their weaknesses, the world around you and its key players. This will be accessible as a Discord channel, allowing investigators to share their knowledge across these sessions and sessions run at one-shot nights.

The first session will be a session zero, where players can create characters and learn more about Vaesen.

Time: Thursdays at 6pm

Session length: 3 hours

Start date: 22nd February 2024

Age range: Adults (18+)

Cost: £6 per session

The Scouring of Tarsak IV:
A Narrative Campaign for Kill Team

Our Kill Team Narrative Campaign is well underway, but newcomers are welcome to join us to help determine the fate of Tarsak IV.

What is Narrative Play?

In a Narrative Campaign each player starts with just enough operatives to form a Kill Team, but your team will expand as you play missions to include more operatives, better trained operatives and rare equipment that can sway the battle in your favour. By achieving Tac Ops in each mission you will work towards completing your own personal Spec Op, which will reward you with extra benefits.

This Narrative Campaign has an added story-telling element to it, which allows each player to shape events on Tarsak IV as they complete missions and ultimately determine the outcome of the planet itself.

Above all, Narrative Play is the most engaging way to play Kill Team. Every decision has the potential to gain your operatives experience or cause them long-term injury (or death!), while progress in your personal Spec Op is determined by scoring your Tac Ops rather than winning missions.

How do I get involved?

Over Seas of Chaos

Over Seas of Chaos is our first mini-campaign for Kill Team, set in our narrative campaign setting on Tarsak IV.

We will be playing through the new narrative campaign from the Salvation rulebook, as we attempt to salvage resources and intel from the decimated remains of Tarsak IV's oceanic platforms (check out the story so far on the campaign page).

This campaign is for 6 players, who will each play 6 missions on the new Beta Decima terrain set. Players will play a mission every 2 weeks before choosing a new location on the campaign map to investigate with their team. The Campaign Master will assign missions and pairings based on the players' locations at the end of the movement phase. The campaign will be managed through Discord (and in person when people are available at Skirmish Club at the same time), with games played at Skirmish Club or any other time during the week.

Sign-up deadline: 25th February

Start date: 3rd March

Age range: 18+

This campaign acts as a Spec Op, with rewards for all players and additional rewards for those who secure the most resources throughout the campaign.

Payment

Campaign Cost: £40

This fee will cover all 6 games that players take part in throughout the campaign (players will be given 6 vouchers to pay for the gaming table for each campaign battle).

Campaign fees will be paid in advance. Refunds will only be available up until the sign-up deadline.

Prizes

Over Seas of Chaos is a narrative campaign, so the biggest reward is the story that your operatives tell along the way, and the experience and perks that they gain for a job well done!

But there will also be dice...

At the end of the campaign each player will receive a unique set of 6 Black Dragon Games dice in a colour that reflects their Kill Team.

The Fell Alliance

Fight for the fate of Vittelfort at our first Warcry Campaign Day.

6 Warbands will each play 3 battles as we work through The Fell Alliance campaign arc. Players will divide into two teams, whose warbands will pair off against each other in the first two battles. The third and final battle will see all Warbands take to the battlefield together on the outskirts of Vittelfort to determine whether it will be saved or burned to the ground...

Date, Time & Price

Date: Sunday 14th April

Time: 10am – 6pm

Price: £12

What to bring

  • One Warband
  • One Narrative Warband Roster
  • Rules for all units in your Warband
