Yes, 3 tournaments!
These are very casual tournaments aimed at giving players a chance to try out the new rules and test a range of different units.
Each tournament is a chance to try out a new army, with the points limit growing from one event to the next.
Army Rules: you must field an army using the matched play rules. You may not field any model which costs more than 50% of the tournament point limit.
Missions: missions will be generated from the 6 Matched Play scenarios in the new Rules Manual.
Minimum Painting Standard: there is no minimum painting standard for these tournaments (and no painting competition). However, miniatures must accurate represent the unit that you are fielding (including equipment options).
Prizes: players placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd at each tournament will receive a £5 Black Dragon Games gift voucher.
Our tournament series will start at Black Dragon Games, where we'll play four 300 point games on 2x2 battlefields.

Embergard is the new edition of Warhammer Underworlds, and we're putting together an event series to get everyone playing again!
The new edition plays very much like the previous edition, but it has been rewritten from the ground up to create a much smoother gaming experience. However, it requires new cards and resources, so our events are aimed at helping players get back into Underworlds with minimal cost and effort.

A Narrative Campaign for Warhammer 40,000
Build a narrative army and help determine the fate of Tarsak IV as your army grows in size and experience!
This campaign is Act III of our Grand Narrative Campaign: The Scouring of Tarsak IV. Your victories in this campaign will set the stage for future narrative event days and campaigns.
You can read all about Tarsak IV and the events of Act I and Act II here.
The goal of this campaign is to complete 4 games against 4 different players over 12 weeks. These 4 games will count towards your alliance's progress towards victory, but you can play as many games as you like to continue developing your Crusade Force.
Both Warhammer 40,000 and Boarding Actions games can be played as part of this campaign. Warhammer 40,000 games will be played at 1000 points.
The entry fee for the campaign will cover 4 gaming sessions at Black Dragon Games for your campaign games.
We will be building Crusade Forces for this campaign and using the Tyrannic War narrative mission pack for missions, battle honours and agendas.
The campaign is all about having fun whilst telling the story of your Crusade Force. Players should focus on fun and relaxed gameplay. Games will not be played at a competitive level.
Crusade Forces for this campaign should centre around your favourite Warhammer 40,000 miniatures, rather than constructing a well-optimised fighting force. In fact, armies with significant flaws often make the most exciting Crusade Forces! So get creative and build the army that you've always wanted to play...

At Black Dragon Games you can join a learn-to-play Dungeons & Dragons campaign where one of our experienced Dungeon Masters will introduce to the game over the course of 4 sessions. No prior experience necessary - all you need to bring is your imagination!
These campaigns are for new players who have little or no experience of 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. These sessions are not appropriate if you have already played or read the campaign that we are running (either Dragons of Stormwreck Isle or Lost Mine of Phandelver).

Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend a campaign. Refunds can only be given for cancellations made at least 7 days before the start date of the campaign.

Light games: Looking for a bit more variety? These sessions will always start with a specific game (which will take 30-60 minutes), and then move on to some other light games for as long as you want to stay. Ideal for new players looking to learn some lighter games!
Low means that a game is quick and easy to learn - ideal if you're looking for something chilled out or accessible to younger players.
Medium games will take a little while to learn and will typically require significant planning throughout the game.
High complexity games will typically take much longer to learn and usually involve players planning several turns ahead while keeping track of a complex set of resources - recommended for experienced gamers.

We're playing Age of Sigmar Spearhead, Kill Team, Warcry and Warhammer Underworlds at Skirmish Club now, and we love having new players along.

Our tournament schedule now includes Casual, Competitive (League Challenges and League Cups) and Build & Battle tournaments for all ages.
All tournaments are Swiss structure.
To reduce queuing upon arrival we are using an online payment system for bookings. Bookings cancelled at least 48 hours before the event start time will be fully refunded. Bookings cannot be transferred to a later event.

Under-16s can join us for a morning of Pokémon! Play casually, trade cards, challenge each other in the Black Dragon Pokémon League or play against one of our gym-leaders for the ultimate challenge!

Age range: 6 – 15 years old
Learning to play: This club is aimed at children who already know how to play Pokémon. Due to the large number of people attending this club it is not possible to teach new players here, but we do offer learn-to-play sessions that you can book on to.
Decks: Participants will require their own deck to take part in this club. We sell a range of decks from beginner to advanced level.

Pokémon Club is intended as a space for children to play the Pokémon TCG. We ask that children do not bring games consoles to Pokémon Club, and that spaces are only booked for children who wish to participate in Pokémon TCG activities.
Trading is a core part of the Pokémon TCG hobby. Pokémon Club attendees are welcome to trade Pokémon cards in the final 30 minutes of Pokémon Club (excluding tournaments).
