Amy Potts, a beloved member of the Black Dragon Games Lorcana community, passed away earlier this year. We will be hosting a free charity event in her name, and invite Lorcana players everywhere to join us and help to raise money for two charities selected by Amy's family.

Remember: This is a FREE event, but all participants are expected to actively fundraise with a goal of generating £100 of donations through Just Giving, or donate a valuable card (such as an Enchanted worth £200 or more) at the event.

Amy Potts was a much loved member of our community. She was known for meeting every day and every challenge with a smile, and brought no end of joy to those around her.
Amy suffered for many years of her life from a rare form of Autoimmune Hepatitis that attacked her liver. She received a liver transplant in 2025, but unfortunately the transplant was less successful than hoped. Amy's health took a downward turn in early 2026 and sadly she passed away on 10th April 2026.
Amy will be forever missed by her friends and family. As a community, we want to come together and honour her memory by raising money for those who cared for her. Amy's family have selected two charities for us to support: the Birmingham Hospital Edmonds Transplant Centre and the Wren Project.
Amy had many loves, which naturally included Disney! Some of her favourite films included Encanto and The Emperor's New Groove. Our charity day will feature challenges themed around some of Amy's favourite things. Amy also loved baking, so of course there must be cupcakes!
This event is completely free, but we'll be raising money for charity in various ways:
Goodie Box
All participants will receive a Goodie Box containing an Attack of the Vine booster, a pin badge, exciting promo cards and lots more! The first 20 players to sign up will also receive either a set of dice or sleeves from Mystery Dice Goblin.

Our charity day will have a Encanto theme and as part of our memorial we will be lighting a candle for Amy that will burn throughout the day. At the end of the day we will blow the candle out and hold a 1 minute silence as we say farewell to our friend.
Amy's family have kindly donated a piece a needlework that Amy made. At lunchtime we will hold a mounting ceremony, giving Amy a permanent place of honour at Black Dragon Games so that she will always be remembered.

Everyone will earn Prize Points based on their final lore in each game:
Build a 3-colour Theme Deck for this slightly more competitive 4-round tournament event.
What is a Theme Deck? Theme Decks are Infinity Constructed decks that only contain cards from a single film franchise (e.g. Frozen and Frozen 2), but in this instance you may include up to 3 ink colours at this event.
Do all of my cards have to match my deck's theme? Yes! For example, no one ever "sails the azurite sea" in a Disney film so Sail the Azurite Sea cannot be played in any Theme Deck.
Amy loved The Emperor's New Groove and repeatedly tried to build a functional theme deck for it. Perhaps by extending Theme Decks to 3 colours someone will be able to make one of Amy's smaller dreams come true!

We have reserved booster packs from the latest sets for this event. You'll be able to grab Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, Wilds Unknown and Attack of the Vine, but a pair of packs will cost you £16. £10 will be donated to charity for each pair of packs purchased!

To thank everyone for helping to raise money for charity we are offering a fairly flat prize pool consisting mainly of Goodie Boxes and our Prize Wall. However, we do have some very special prizes up for grabs too...
Mirabel Prizes:
To support the Encanto theme of our event, Ravensburger have been incredibly generous and given us special dispensation to use a Shimmering Skies Set Championship kit as prizing! This means that we will have a Mirabel playmat, a Mirabel Champion playmat and 8 Mirabel promo cards to award as prizes, distributed as follows:
Throughout the day players will be able to complete 4 challenges to earn even more Prize Points!

Note that the £100 target is a "soft" target - we want to see everyone fundraising but we will not be checking up on how much individuals raise.
Some of the money raised will also be donated to the Wren Project - these donations will be made directly by Black Dragon Games.

Players are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
There are plenty of local shops and cafes within walking distance.
By Car: We recommend parking in Burton Street Car Park (navigate to postcode LE13 1GH), which is a 2 minute walk from Black Dragon Games. Free Parking all day.
By Train: Black Dragon Games is a 3 minute walk from Melton Mowbray train station.
